Lay down two side boards (the 1-inch x 8- inch discs) side by side. Begin from the top edge of a board and measure down 13 inches. Select a horizontal line across both boards. This is the location for your first shelf. Measure down again and mark a second line 17 inches from the first. Keep the boards 30 inches apart with the marked lines facing the inside? Place the first 30 inches the bottom of the board mark so the top edge of the board runs along the marked line. Nail the shelf from the outside with the nails placed two inches apart.

Repeat the process with the other 30-inch shelf on board and the top marked lines on the side boards. Nail the shelf in place on both sides. The bookcase should be stable with the nails hammered in stable. Set 1-inch x 12-inch top board over Classic Furniture. Center the board so that there is a two-inch overhang all the way around on all sides. Staple in side boards through the top to attach, spacing the nails every three inches. Apply a bite or clear coat that would give a more beautiful look.
