Antique Bedroom Furniture with Modernity Touch
We often find rooms with antique furniture that do not fit with the most modern decoration of the rest of the house. Therefore, we will show you how to decorate antique bedroom furniture giving it a touch of modernity. When we find old furniture, but the state of this type of furniture is good and the design, interesting from the aesthetic point of view, a solution is to recycle them by means of painting. In this way, we managed to integrate them into the most current decorations.
You can decorate the walls with cream-colored plastic paint and with furniture acrylic enamel in different colors. Magenta for the wardrobe, white for the tables and green for the chair, the headboard and the footboard. Once the painting of the headboard dries, we will proceed to the padding and upholstery of it.
For the padding we will use a piece of flock, which we will place between the fabric chosen for the upholstery and the okume wood. We will start by tensing the fabric and putting a staple in the middle of each side and we will continue stapling from the middle towards the corners maintaining the shape of the plywood. Provide the final touch to the decoration with the bedding. Stitched patterns for the bedspread and lace edging and ruffles for the cushions provide a refined and delicate feeling to the whole room.
