Happy Birthday | Ribbon Techniques Challenge

Today is the first online Stamp-a-faire event hosted by Papertrey Ink. PTI fans from all over the world join together on the forum and participate in the challenges. Fleur, my 11-year old girl and me sat down in my craft room to create a card for the Ribbon Techniques Challenge. I made a card inspired by Melissa Phillips' ribbon technique. The card is a mixture of my favorite brands...Papertrey Ink and October Afternoon.

I love the layered flower...

The denim twine matches great with the October Afternoon papers...

SUPPLIES: Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream) | Patterned paper: October Afternoon (Sidewalks, Sasparilla) | Clear stamps: Papertrey Ink (Birthday Basics, Mat Stack 4 Collection) | Ink: Papertrey Ink (Blueberry Sky, Vintage Tea Dye Duo), Versafine (Vintage Sepia) | Button: Papertrey Ink (White & Cream Mix) | Twine: Cards & Wishes | Felt: Papertrey Ink, Felt on the Fly | Tools: Papertrey Ink (Double-Ended Banners Die, Mat Stack 4 Die), sewing machine | Other: felt, foam adhesive

Hop on over to Fleur's own blog to see the card that she created based on Erin Lincoln's technique.

Thank you for stopping by.

  11. Hi Ingrid! I have been a long-time fan of your beautiful work. I just stopped by to say hello, and.....to mention that I've posted a card on my blog that was completely inspired by one your original designs. I always give credit when I remake someone's work, but I wanted to let you know. It's an older MME Christmas card. If you get a chance to stop by, I would just LOVE to have you as a follower on my blog. By the way, I could not find a place here to follow you. But please know that I stop by frequently to be inspired. Thanks for all your wonderful creative inspiration.

    Blessings to you,
    Karen
