Hello! And welcome to the first challenge to celebrate the 300,000 mark on my blog. I'll be hosting three challenges this weekend, so lots of fun to play along. I'll also give away some prizes.
Make a NEW monochromatic card. You can add a neutral color (kraft, white/cream, black or brown).
Here's the card I made for this challenge. I chose to use black with cream as the neutral color.
Supplies: Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream) | Patterned paper: October Afternoon (5 & Dime, Modern Homemaker, The Thrift Shop, Hometown) | Twine, ribbon: May Arts | Felt flower, angel wings: Cards & Wishes | Button: Papertrey Ink (True Black) | Clear stamps: Papertrey Ink (Sending You, Label Basics) | Ink: Versafine (Onyx Black), Papertrey Ink (Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo) | Tools: Papertrey Ink (Small Scalloped Border Die, Angles Labels Collection, Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" Circle Collection, Edgers #1 Die), EK Success 3/4" Circle punch, sewing machine | Other: foamtape
1) Make a NEW card for this monochromatic color challenge. Cards made before May 20, 2011 are not eligible.
2) Link directly to the post containing your card NOT your blog or photo-hosting site (such as Photobucket or Flickr). A general blog or photo-hosting site link will disqualify the entry.
3) You can enter as many times as you like.
4) International entries are eligible too.
The challenge closes on Sunday June 5th at 11.59pm CET. The prize winner will be announced by Tuesday June 7.
The winner will receive 17 different 8x8" patterned paper sheets from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection.
Here is where you can add a link to your project for this Monochromatic Color Challenge!
Have fun creating a card for this challenge. I look forward to seeing your projects.
If you play along with all three challenges you have an extra chance to win a prize pack. I'll randomly pick a winner from the names who participated in all three weekend challenges.
I also have something exciting to share. Eric managed to get me tickets for George Michael. I'm so thrilled!! I was at the dentist when presale started at 10am this morning, so I asked (ehm...ordered) Eric to try to get tickets. I last saw George Michael in November 2006, and he is great! Unfortunately Eric isn't able to go with me as he'll be on a business trip to Las Vegas, but I have a fun date. I'll be going to see George Michael with my friend Loes. We have seats in the arena in row 7, so we are very close to the stage. I'll have to find out if we are allowed to bring our camera.
I'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge. Enjoy your day!
