Happy Happy Birthday

Today my father-in-law is celebrating his birthday. I made him this card using some old October Afternoon papers that are great for masculine cards.

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper (Sawdust) | Patterned paper: October Afternoon (Weathervane, Country Fair, Campfire) | Clear stamps: Papertrey Ink (Birthday Bash Sentiments, Fillable Frames #5) | Ink: Versafine (Vintage Sepia), Papertrey Ink (Enchanted Evening, Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo) | Button: Papertrey Ink (Holiday Mix) | Twine: May Arts | Tools: Papertrey Ink (Fillable Frames #5, Seeing Stars Collection), sewing machine | Adhesive dots: Zva Creative (AD01CB101)

The card is based on a sketch I designed for My Scrapbook Nook. Each Monday I post a new card sketch on the forum. Since the forum is currently down due to migration I'll post the sketch on the Nook's Facebook page later today.

Have you seen this sneak peek of the Nook's March kit? Lots of Crate Paper yumminess! The kit is on its way to me and I can't wait to get my hands on it and create some cards with all the gorgeous papers and embellishments.

Have a great day, and thank you for stopping by my blog. Until next time.

  1. Great card! Love the colors and friendly mix of patterns. Almost pretty...but it is for a man!

  2. Great card Ingrid - thanks for sharing ;)

  3. Nice guy card Ingrid. Something about plaid is so masculine isn't it? I like the star in the contrasting paper. Nice.

  4. Love the colors, wonderful card!

  5. Wat een superleuk kaartje! Heel mooi met dat blauw

  6. Hoi Ingrid

Je kart is weer een beauty, de vorige ook trouwens.
Ben gister teruggekomen uit Houston en yes ik heb een voorraadje leuke spullen van Papertrey en nog andere leuke spulletjes meegenomen.
    Nu maar tijd vinden.

  9. Great card you made for my dad. I really had to dig deep for inspiration. I haven't even posted it yet. Quite a few in the pipeline to share still. Your card is a good one to keep for inspiration. Love the colour combo. xox
