It's Saturday evening and the girls and I watched the final of X Factor. It's quite exciting, because it's hard to tell who's gonna win. Will it be Jaap who's been our favorite from the very beginning or Maaike who also did great this evening? While waiting for the final result we are now watching the Eurovision Song Contest. No Dutch participation this evening as we didn't make it into the final. It wasn't really a surprise because the Dutch song wasn't......well....not that great. We haven't been in the final since 2004. It's been said quite often that neighbor countries always vote for each other and that may be partly true, but the truth is that our songs were simply not good enough in the past few years.
Saturday also means a new sketch at Twisted Sketches. The twist for Sketch #009 is rub-on. I haven't been using rub-ons that much anymore since I mostly use a sentiment stamp on my cards. I still have lots of rub-ons in my stash and my favorites are the ones from Melissa Frances. I was in the mood for a bright card and used my new Cosmo Cricket papers. The grosgrain ribbon and white twine are available at BeebieBelle.
