I often visit the Moxie Fab World blog. It's a great blog for inspiration and challenges. Beautiful photos, inspirational projects by talented scrappers from all over the world, and great challenges. Last Tuesday a new Tuesday Trigger challenge was posted. The Tuesday Trigger comes from Nina Brackett, an amazingly talented card maker and designer. I first came across Nina's work when she was Guest Designer for Card Patterns at the time I was one of the DT members. Nina chose this lovely pleated bag. The challenge is to create a paper crafted project that is inspired by the Trigger that Nina has provided.
The colors of the bag made me think of the colors Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado from Papertrey Ink. And for the flowers I immediately had the lovely pink felt flowers from Zva Creative in mind. I sticked to the design of the bag, and even made pleats by scoring a strip of cardstock. Here's my take on the challenge.
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper (Kraft), Papertrey Ink (Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado) | Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Polka Dot Basics II, Giga Guide Lines) | Zva Creative: Felt Floral Embellishment (FL01CB115), Crystal Brads (BRBK02CA102), Foam Dots: AD01CB101 | Button: Papertrey Ink (Raspberry Fizz) | Ribbon: Papertrey Ink (Spring Moss) | Twine: May Arts | Ink: Papertrey Ink (Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo), VersaMark, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black | Tools: Scor-Pal, sewing machine
Have a wonderful weekend!
