Happy Mother's Day

This morning the girls surprised me with their handmade gifts. Sanne made me a painting, a poem and 3 drawings. Fleur made me a key ring and a poem. I also got the recipe book High Tea Party, and this gift coupon made by Eric to spend on my next Papertrey Ink order.

Shall he have any idea about the length of my wish list? {wink} I promise to behave myself when I place my next order.

Last Friday I made this card for my mother-in-law. My Papertrey Ink order arrived last Tuesday. It contained the goodies I ordered on release night (well....morning for me) as well as the free Round & Round 2009 Anniversary stamp set. It's a great set with beautiful images. I used three stamps of this set on this card.

Supplies: All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted Cardstock: Spring Moss, Hibiscus Burst, Sweet Blush, Rustic White | Stamps: Round & Round 2009 Anniversy Set, Blooming Button Bits | Ink: Spring Moss, Hibiscus Burst, Dark Chocolate | Button: White & Cream Mix | Ribbon: Sweet Blush | Pearls, foam dots: Zva Creative | Tools: Large Scalloped Border die, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four, EK Success Circle punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots, sewing machine

I can't wait to play with my other new stamps. I haven't had time yet because I first had to finish my assignment for Cards Only. And if I did have time to make a card I wouldn't have been able to post it on my blog because I didn't want my mom to know that our Papertrey Ink goodies already arrived. I wrapped up all the goodies she ordered and we gave it to her for Mother's Day which was a wonderful surprise.

I didn't use any of my new stamps on the card for my mom. I chose to work with some of my 'older' stamp sets. I first stamped the text stamp from Background Basics: Hearts on kraft cardstock with Tea Dye ink. I then stamped two flourishes with VersaMark ink. Since the flourishes hardly showed up on the kraft base I stamped them again with Vintage Cream ink. The large flower from YOF: Violets was cut from Rustic Cream cardstock and adhered with foam dots from Zva Creative. I used some crystals from Zva Creative for the finishing touch.

Supplies: All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted Cardstock: Pure Poppy, Rustic Cream, Bazzill Basics Paper (Kraft) | Stamps: Year of Flowers: Violets, Fancy Flourishes, Basic Backgrounds: Hearts, Daily Designs Sentiments | Ink: Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo, VersaMark | Crystals: Zva Creative (CR01CB101) | Foam dots: Zva Creative (AD01CB101) | Ribbon: Pure Poppy | Tools: Copic Marker Lipstick Red (R29)

Have a wonderful day!

  9. Both cards look adorable Ingrid. I especially love the red/kraft combination. I wonder wether I'll receive the special release stamps, but I don't know whether they'll treat me as the same customer considering I moved. xox
