Congrats to the Grad

Good morning! How was your weekend? We had a wonderful time. The girls and I always watch X Factor together on Friday evening which is a great start of the weekend. On Saturday evening we went to a house warming party, and yesterday morning we went to visit Eric’s mom. The rest of the weekend was spent at home. We have been having lots of rain, so the ‘perfect’ weather to do some crafts. Yesterday afternoon I worked on a custom card order and my assignment for Cards Only. Jennie, one of Eric’s colleagues asked me for two cards for her brother’s graduation. I don’t have any graduation stamp sets except for a Congrats to the Grad sentiment, so I suggested a few other sentiments to Jennie and she chose the Congrats sentiment from Say It With Style. I chose kraft, brown and green which I think is a great and masculine color combo.

Supplies: Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Ripe Avocado, Rustic Cream), Bazzill Basics Paper (Kraft) | Patterned papers: Papertrey Ink (2008 Bitty Dot Basics, 2008 Bitty Star Basics) | Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Polka Dot Basics II, Say It With Style) | Ink: Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream, Ripe Avocado) | Tools: Fiskars Upper Crest border punch, Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle squeeze punch, EK Success Circle punch, sewing machine

Since both cards are for the same person I didn’t want to create another card using stamps except for the sentiment. I digged into my stash for some masculine papers and came across a Cosmo Cricket collection pack that I’ve hardly used.

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper (Kraft) | Patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend | Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Star Prints, Mega Mixed Messages) | Ink: Papertrey Ink (Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate) | Button: Papertrey Ink (Ripe Avocado) | Twine: Jillibean Soup | Tools: Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle squeeze punch, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Squares, sewing machine | Other: foamtape

I also made a Mother’s Day card for Jennie, but I’ll show you that one later this week.

Have a nice day!

  7. I like them both Ingrid, but the PPs on the second one are so fun and bright while still being masculine, that it just makes me happy to look at it.
I think the stars are perfect.
