Birthday Wishes, and a Toot

A few days ago I saw this card by Taheerah. I just loved how she used the various flower stamps from Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II set, and told her I would lift her card one day. Well, I didn't exactly lift her design, but I did use her card as inspiration for my card and mixed the flowers from Beautiful Blooms and Beautiful Blooms II. I stamped the flowers in Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise and Hawaiian Shores which is one of my favorite colors at the moment.

Supplies: All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted Cardstock: Hawaiian Shores, Rustic Cream, Bazzill Basics Paper (Kraft) | Stamps: Background Basics: Botanicals, Beautiful Blooms, Beautiful Blooms II, Mixed Messages | Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo | Button: Hawaiian Shores | Ribbon: Hawaiian Shores | Twine: May Arts | Tools: EK Success Embossed Curve border punch, sewing machine | Other: tag

Last night - just before I was about to shut down my computer - I received an e-mail from Paper Crafts telling me that one of my cards for Twisted Sketches will be published in the November/December 2010 issue of the magazine. Next month I will have my first card published in Paper Crafts and I can't wait to see it.

I'll be back tomorrow with my card for the new sketch at Twisted Sketches. Have a wonderful weekend!
